Ayodhya Verdict Explained: Ram Mandir to be built; Hindus get Disputed Land; Alternate land for Muslims

Ayodhya Verdict on Ram Janmabhoomi Babri Masjid land dispute has been pronounced by the Supreme Court of India. As per the verdict, Hindus get the disputed Ayodhya Land; and Muslims to get an alternate land. The Supreme Court judgement has paved the way for the construction of Ram Mandir on the land which was long disputed and was claimed by five different parties. The verdict comes after 9 years of Allahabad High Court Judgement, wherein, it divided the land among three parties - Ram Lalla, Sunni Waqf Board and the Nirmohi Akhara. However, the Supreme Court has now scrapped the high court ruling by giving the complete disputed land to Hindus and rejecting the claim of Waqf Board and Nirmohi akhara. Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi began the judgement after observing the developments in the Ayodhya land dispute case so far. Kartarpur Corridor: PM Modi dedicates corridor to the public, flags off first batch of devotees

Kartarpur Corridor Inauguration: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has inaugurated Kartarpur Corridor and flagged off first batch of devotees to the Kartarpur Sahib. A batch of 575 devotees from India is visiting Kartarpur Sahib for the first time after partition held in 1947. This batch includes former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh, Chief Minister of Punjab Captain Amarinder Singh, besides MPs, Ministers, MLAs and one representative from each state of the country. Global Climate Emergency: A joint declaration by 11,258 scientists of 153 countries

Global Climate Emergency: More than 11,000 scientists from 153 countries have declared a climate emergency recently. On the other hand, the US has made a formal announcement to withdraw its membership from the Paris Agreement. These scientists have warned that if timely steps are not taken to protect the planet, 'untold suffering' will emerge. According to a report published in BioScience Journal 11,258 signatories, including 69 from India, declared a climate emergency and provided a set of effective mitigating actions. Scientists claimed that this joint declaration is a result of scientific analysis of more than 40 years of research. The study was published by environmentalist William J Ripple of Oregon State University and Christopher Wolf of Oregon State University. Researchers from Australia and South Africa were also involved in this. It clearly states the emission of greenhouse gases is a big challenge.

China is world’s worst abuser of internet freedom: Freedom on Net 2019 report

China was ranked as the world’s worst abuser of internet freedom for the fourth consecutive year and Pakistan was declared as 'not free’ in terms of internet freedom status for the ninth consecutive year in the Freedom on the Net (FoTN) report 2019. The Freedom on the Net report 2019 titled ‘The Crisis of Social Media’ was released by an international internet watchdog, the Freedom House on November 5, 2019. The report recorded an overall decline in global internet freedom status between July 2018 and May 2019.

NASA's Voyager-2 reaches interstellar space

NASA or The National Aeronautics and Space Administration has added another feather in its cap as its Voyager 2 spacecraft has reached interstellar space. NASA's Voyager-2 has become the second spacecraft which has reached outside the periphery of the solar system. It has completed a long journey of over four decades to reach here. Earlier, only Voyager-1 of NASA reached near interstellar space. Voyager-2 is a second human-made object to touch solar periphery out of the Sun's influence. According to researchers from the US University of Iowa, Voyager-2 has reached interstellar medium (ISM). According to the study published in the science journal Nature Astronomy, Voyager-2 entered ISM on November 5, 2019.

Paris Climate Agreement: US formally notifies UN about its withdrawal from climate accord

The United States formally informed the United Nations about its intention to withdraw from the Paris Climate agreement on November 4, 2019. The announcement of the US exit from the deal was made by US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo. Mike Pompeo stated that the agreement had imposed an unfair economic burden on the US. He said that the US was proud of its record as a world leader in reducing all emissions. He further stated that the US has successfully fostered resilience and grown its economy and ensured energy for its citizens. He said that the US follows a more realistic model. The formal notification has initiated a year-long withdrawal process of the US from the global climate agreement. The United States will properly exit the climate deal a day after the US Presidential Elections 2020.

SC expresses alarm, bans construction, demolition activities, power cuts in Delhi/NCR

The Supreme Court expressing alarm on severe air pollution level in Delhi-NCR directed an immediate halt to stubble burning in Punjab, Haryana, and UP and banned all construction and demolition activities in Delhi-NCR till further orders. Supreme Court Judge Arun Mishra stated that Delhi is choking every year and we are not able to do anything. “Farmers cannot kill others for their own livelihood. We have no sympathy for farmers if they keep burning crops,” said Justice Mishra with grave concern and added saying, “this cannot happen in a civilised country. The right to life is the most important. We want to burn our crop and let others die' we can't live like this.”

Odd-Even rule in Delhi 2019

The odd-even scheme was launched by the Delhi Government on November 4 to combat the hazardous smog that has enveloped the national capital. The scheme has been launched for 12 days from November 4-15, 2019. The first day of the odd-even rule reportedly resulted in a major dip in the air pollution levels in Delhi. The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) data showed that the odd-even scheme teamed up with high wind speed brought down the air pollution in Delhi by almost 82 percent. Both PM10 and PM2.5 levels fell drastically by 6 pm on November 4.

The memorandums of understanding (MoU) were signed after a high-level delegation meet between the two nations. Government will be setting up women help desks in all police stations and anti-human trafficking units in all districts across India using the NIRBHAYA Fund. According to the new map, Mirpur and Muzaffarabad districts of Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK) have been described as part of Jammu and Kashmir. COP 25: Spain to host UN Climate Change conference after Chile backs out

Spain will be hosting the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP25) from December 2-13 in IFEMA - Feria de Madrid in Madrid, Spain. The announcement was made by UN Climate Change Executive Secretary Patricia Espinosa. Spain had offered to host COP25 in Madrid on the same dates as the original schedule after Chile decided to pull out from hosting the event due to the ongoing national unrest against the Government of Chile. Chile had informed its decision of not hosting the COP25 event in the view of the unrest in the country to UNFCCC on October 30, 2019. In an official statement, President of Chile Sebastian Pinera said that the decision had caused him pain but his government was required to prioritize re-establishing law and order in the nation.

IAF successfully test-fires two BrahMos surface-to-surface missiles

The Indian Air Force has successfully carried out the test-firing of two BrahMos surface-to-surface missiles. The missiles were launched from a mobile platform at Trak Island in the Andaman Nicobar islands. The twin launches were carried out as a part of the Indian Air Force’s routine operational training. The missiles were fired on October 21 and October 22. This was confirmed by officials. The test-firing aimed to check the IAF’s capability of hitting targets with pinpoint accuracy. The targets were at a distance of 300 km.

NCRB Report: Uttar Pradesh tops the list in crimes against women in country

The National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) has released the figures of crimes against women in India during 2017-18. In total, around 50 lakh criminal cases were recorded during the period, out of which the state of Uttar Pradesh accounts for almost 10.1 percent of the crimes. Maharashtra is second on the list with 31,979 cases of crime against women.

Rohit Sharma has created a new record in test cricket. Sharma broke Australian cricketer Don Bradman's record of highest average in Test cricket on home soil during the Day 2 of India’s third test against South Africa at JSCA International Stadium Complex, Ranchi on October 20, 2019. Rohit Sharma scored 212 runs during India’s first innings in the third test. This is his first double hundred in Test cricket. With the score, Sharma recorded an average of 99.84 on home soil, which is higher than Don Bradman’s average of 98.22 on home soil in test cricket.

First all-female spacewalk: Christina Koch & Jessica Meir made history; fixed broken part of ISS

NASA astronauts Christina Koch and Jessica Meir recorded history on October 18, 2019 by completing the first all-female spacewalk. Koch and Meir did this to fix a broken part of the International Space Station (ISS). They walked out to replace a power controller of the ISS that got damaged last week. Koch and Meir fixed the damaged part by using wrenches, screwdrivers and power-grip tools. No man was involved in this mission, termed as the Extravehicular Activity (EVA). Koch was first to move out of the ISS and Meir came after with a tool bag. Initially, the mission was scheduled for 5.5 hours, however, it stretched up to 7 hours due to some additional tasks. While Meir made her debut in spacewalking through this mission, it was the 4th spacewalk for Koch. Meir is a marine biologist and Koch is an electrical engineer. Both of them are the members of NASA's Astronaut Class of 2013, the only group that has an equal number of men & women.

Jammu & Kashmir Legislative Council abolished; reduced to Union Territories of J&K and Ladakh

ammu & Kashmir Legislative Council got abolished on October 18, 2019 under Section 57 of the J&K Reorganisation Bill, 2019. With this, the J&K state has now been reduced to two Union Territories - Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh. J&K and Ladakh will now be UTs from November 1, 2019. The J&K Reorganisation Bill, 2019 was passed by the Parliament in August 2019. The staff members of the J&K Council need to report to the General Administration Department (GAD) by October 22, 2019. On the other hand, the Council Secretary has been asked to transfer all records regarding the Council Secretariat to the Department of Law under the Justice and Parliamentary Affairs.

The ‘State of the World’s Children’ Report 2019 of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) states that Malnutrition causes around 69 per cent of children’s death in India. As per the report, 149 million children of under 5 age were stunted and around 50 million children were wasted in 2018. The report also throws light on the health of Indian women. It says that every second Indian woman is suffering from anaemia.

US President Donald Trump warns Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to not to be a "tough guy" or "fool" over the latter's move to launch incursion into Northeast Syria. Trump made the statement in a White House letter addressed to Erdogan which was sent to him on October 9, 2019, the day Turkey invaded the Northeast Syria. It was written just three days following the Trump's order to withdraw US troops from northern Syria. The letter, revealed by Fox Business’s Trish Regan, drew attention for its blunt and undiplomatic language. The letter begins with “Let’s work out a good deal!", seeming that President Trump is trying to convince Erdogan to make a deal with Kurds and stop invasion into Northeast Syria.

Global Hunger Index 2019: India at 102 out of 117 countries, falls behind Nepal, Bangladesh, Pakistan

Global Hunger Index 2019 Report: India ranked 102 out of 117 countries in the Global Hunger Index (GHI) 2019 that is placed at much below to its South Asian neighbours such as Nepal, Bangladesh, Pakistan. The GHI report pointed out that "India is suffering from a serious hunger problem". The Global Hunger Index measures countries on a 100 points scale, where a score of 0 (zero) is considered as best performing countries and 100 is the worst. The Global Hunger Index report, prepared and published jointly by Irish aid agency Concern Worldwide and German organization Welt Hunger Hilfewas, calculated on the basis of four indicators that are - child mortality, undernourishment, child wasting (weight for age) and child stunting. The major focus of the index was on the relation between climate change and hunger. The report also explains the impact of extreme weather on food production and food security.

Pakistan in FATF Grey List till February 2020

Financial Action Task Force on October 16, 2019, decides to keep Pakistan on its ‘Grey List’ till February 2020. FATF directs Pakistan to take extra strict measures to eliminate terror funding and money laundering. The final decision in this regard will be taken by the FATF in February 2020. Pakistan was added to the FATF's ‘grey list’ on June 27, 2018. The list contains the names of countries that are involved in providing monetary assistance to terrorism and related causes. The decision was taken during the FATF meeting on Money Laundering in Paris. At the FATF talks in Paris, a delegation led by Dr. Shamshad Akhtar, Pakistani Interim Minister for Finance and Planning, apprised the FATF of steps taken by Pakistan to curb terror financing and money laundering, pleading removal of Pakistan's name from FATF grey list.

US sanctions on Turkey: Penalties imposed on Turkish officials to stop invasion into Syria

US sanctions on Turkey: The United States has once again imposed sanctions on Turkish officials over their invasion into Northeast Syria. US Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin and Vice President Mike Pence made an announcement regarding the same on October 14, 2019. Later, US President Donald Trump himself shared the Statement on his official Twitter handle regarding the sanctions imposed on Turkey over its actions in Northeast Syria, the areas that are held by Kurdish allies of the US. The US has imposed penalties on three Turkish Ministers, the Turkish department of defence and the ministry of energy. The sanctions call for an immediate ceasefire with Turkey’s further incursion into Syria. President Trump has signed an executive order directing Vice President Mike Pence to lead a delegation to Turkey for negotiations the Turks and Kurds. Lakshmi Vilas Bank-Indiabulls Housing Finance merger: The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) rejected the proposed and much-talked merger plan between Indiabulls Housing Finance and Lakshmi Vilas bank. The reason for rejection is not publically available. However, in a statement, Lakshmi Vilas Bank said: "This is to inform that RBI vide their letter dated October 09, 2019, informed that the application for voluntary amalgamation of Indiabulls Housing Finance Ltd and Indiabulls Commercial Credit Ltd with Lakshmi Vilas Bank Ltd cannot be approved." Earlier, the Competition Commission of India had already given its approval for the merger in the month of June this year. It is speculated the RBI rejected the merger deal because of the high level of bad loans, negative return on assets in recent years and lack of risk management capabilities. Due to these performance-related concerns, RBI had put Lakshmi Vilas Bank (LVB) under the Prompt Corrective Action (PCA) framework.

Government approves 4-fold hike in assistance to families of battle casualties

The Defence Minister, Rajnath Singh has approved a four-fold increase in the monetary assistance provided to the next of kin of all battle casualties. With this, the fund provided to the families of battle casualties will be hiked from existing Rs 2 lakh to 8 lakh. The fund will be provided from the Army Battle Casualties Welfare Fund (ABCWF). The families of all categories of battle casualties will be able to avail the monetary assistance. The move fulfills a long-standing demand of the Indian Army. Currently, the monetary assistance worth Rs 2 lakh was given to the families of battle casualties in case of death or those who sustained 60 percent and above disability besides other categories.

Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has announced that Chandrayaan2’s Orbiter payload CLASS has detected charged particles on the moon in its first few days of observation. CLASS has observed intensity variations in its first passage through Moon’s orbit. ISRO said in a statement released on its official website that CLASS is able to detect direct signatures of elements present in the lunar soil. It was also found by the CLASS that best observation occurred when the Sun provides a rich source of x-rays to illuminate the lunar surface. The payload can also detect secondary x-ray emissions resulted from the lunar surface to find out elements like Na, Ca, Al, Si, Ti and Fe.

India has won a decades-old legal dispute over funds belonging to the 7th Nizam of Hyderabad at the UK Court. The Rajasthan Government banned certain categories of Pan Masala and flavoured Tobacco products made of magnesium, carbonate, nicotine and mineral oil. Rajasthan is the third state to impose this ban after Maharashtra and Bihar. The medical department of Rajasthan will start taking samples of these products, and after investigation, if products found these substances will be banned. The government has banned these items under the Food Security Act. Every year, thousands of people in Rajasthan lose their lives due to cancer and consumption of tobacco. Scientists Discovered ‘Ancient River’ in Uttar Pradesh

A team of researchers and experts have found an undiscovered dried-up river during the geophysical survey in the Kaushambi and Prayagraj region in Uttar Pradesh. The most important aspect of this discovery is that this river was a link between Ganga and Yamuna rivers. The Union Jal Shakti Ministry wants to develop this river as a potential groundwater recharge source. A team of researchers and scientists from the CSIR-NGRI (National Geophysical Research Institute) and the Central Groundwater Board found this river.

External Affairs Minister (EAM) S Jaishankar said ahead of a meeting with US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo that India is free to buy the missile defence system S-400 from Russia. Foreign Minister S Jaishankar said, “We would not like any state to tell us what to buy or not to buy from Russia any more than we would like any state to tell us to buy or not buy from America. That freedom of choice is ours and we think it’s in everybody’s interest to recognize that.”

Niti Aayog’s School Education Quality Index: Kerala tops, UP worst performer

Niti Aayog has released the 'School Education Quality Index' (SEQI) report. In this index, the quality of school education of 20 states has been ranked by number. In this list, Kerala is in the first place, Rajasthan second while Karnataka secured third place. NITI Aayog has prepared this index based on the data of 2016-17. The index emphasizes the efforts of schools to increase the learning ability of students. Punjab and Jammu Kashmir are at the 18th and 19th position in the list.

Air Marshal RKS Bhadauria takes over as new IAF chief

Air Marshal Rakesh Kumar Singh Bhadauria has taken over as the 26th Chief of the Indian Air Force (IAF), succeeding Air Chief Marshal BS Dhanoa, who demitted office after his superannuation on September 30, 2019. RKS Bhadauria was appointed as the next chief of IAF by the Union Government on September 19, 2019. The Air Marshal was earlier heading IAF's Bengaluru-based Training Command.

Viju Khote, Sholay’s Kalia, passes away at 77

Viju Khote, Veteran Bollywood actor, has passed away on 30 September 2019. He was 77. He was suffering from multiple health issues for a long time. He took his breath at his home in Mumbai. Viju Khote was most famous for his roles in Sholay as 'Kalia' and in Andaz Apna Apna as 'Robert'. Viju Khote was also praised for his outstanding performance in several Marathi films. Viju Khote started his career in the year 1964.

NASA releases image, claiming Chandrayaan-2’s Vikram had hard landing

NASA has released some high-resolution pictures of Vikram Lander's landing site, which were taken by its Lunar orbiter camera. On the basis of the pictures, NASA claimed the Vikram lander had a hard landing on the lunar surface. However, NASA was not able to locate the lander. The space agency will now attempt to take more images during its next flyby in October, which will be in a more favourable lighting.

World Digital Competitiveness Ranking 2019: India moves up four places to 44th rank

India has risen by four places to be ranked 44th in the IMD World Digital Competitiveness Ranking 2019 (WDCR). India was ranked at the 48th position in 2018. The US continued to top the rankings list, followed by Singapore at 2nd, Sweden at 3rd, Denmark at 4th rank and Switzerland at 5th rank. India fared best in the technology factor, especially in the telecommunications investment.

INS Khanderi submarine commissioned into Indian Navy

Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on September 28, 2019 commissioned the INS Khanderi, the second indigenously built Scorpene class submarine, into the Indian Navy in the presence of Navy chief Admiral Karambir Singh. This diesel-electric submarine possesses superior stealth and major combat capabilities. While commissioning INS Khanderi, Minister Rajnath Singh reiterated Indian Navy's capabilities in ensuring peace and stability in Indian coastal regions. He further said that Indian Navy is ready to take strict action against those who try to disturb peace in the country. On the same occasion, the Defence Minister inducted P-17 Shivalik-class frigate Nilgiri and the aircraft carrier drydock into the Indian Navy.

Nirmala Sitharaman press conference: Corporate tax rates slashed, enhanced surcharge not applicable on capital gains

Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman addressed a press conference in Panjim, Goa on September 20, 2019. The Finance Minister announced that the Government has proposed to slash the corporate tax rates for domestic companies and for new domestic manufacturing companies. Further, the Minister announced that any new domestic company incorporated on or after October 1, 2019 making fresh investment in manufacturing will pay income tax at a rate of 15 percent.

Historic Corporate Tax Rate Cut to 22%: One of the lowest tax rates among other Countries

ndia’s Corporate Tax Rate has been slashed to 22 per cent, a historic move by Narendra Modi-led NDA Government. The Government has already passed the ordinance for slashing the corporate tax rate. Corporate Tax Rate has been cut to 22 per cent from 30 per cent earlier, which is one of the lowest tax rates among the developed and developing economies in South Asian and South-East Asia Regions for the manufacturing units globally. SC seeks report from J&K Juvenile Justice panel on alleged ill-treatment of children in Kashmir

The Supreme Court has directed the J&K Juvenile Justice Committee to submit a report on the allegations of illegal detention and ill-treatment of children in Jammu and Kashmir. The two petitioners had submitted before the court that there have been extensive coverage on violation in J&K including loss of life and liberty and ill-treatment of a large number minor and youth.

Taiwan has cut off its ties with Kiribati thereby losing its second ally within a matter of a week. The Solomon Islands announced on September 16, 2019 that it would be breaking its long-standing ties with Taiwan. The move comes amid Taiwan’s tensions with China. China claims Taiwan to be its territory and says that it has no right to having formal ties with any country. Taiwan currently has official diplomatic relations with only 15 countries worldwide.

The tax rate effective for these companies will be 17.01 percent inclusive of all surcharge and cess.

India has successfully test-fired air-to-air missile Astra from Sukhoi-30 MKI. The indigenously developed missile was tested off the coast of Odisha on September 17, 2019. Astra missile is capable of engaging targets of different ranges and altitudes including short and long-range targets. The state-of-art-missile was launched by the Indian Air force as a part of user trials from Sukhoi-30 MKI. Astra missile completed its test with success, as it was able to accurately engage the live aerial target. The mission took place as planned. Water discovered on a potentially habitable super-Earth

Water has been found by scientists in the atmosphere of a potentially habitable super-Earth. The exoplanet, named K2-18b, is twice the size and eight times the mass of Earth. K2-18b is the first planet outside the solar system in the habitable zone of its star. The discovery was published in a paper in a scientific journal, Nature Astronomy on September 11, 2019 by researchers from University College London (UCL). The paper revealed that scientists studied the atmosphere of K2-18b, a distant super-Earth and for the first time discovered water vapor in its atmosphere and temperature that could potentially support life.

Gujarat Reduces Traffic Violation Fines under New Motor Vehicles Act

The Gujarat government has reduced the challan amounts imposed under the new Motor Vehicles Act (MVA) for breaking traffic rules. BJP-ruled Gujarat is the first state to do so. The new rules will come into effect from September 16 onwards. The Delhi government is also considering reducing certain penalties. The scheme aims to secure the lives of 5 crore small and marginal farmers by providing a minimum pension worth Rs 3000 each month, to those who attain 60 years of age. The government has earmarked funds worth Rs 10,774 Crores for the scheme for the next three years. All small and marginal farmers, who are currently between the age of 18-40 years, can apply for the scheme. The farmer’s monthly contribution can be made from the installments of PM-KISAN or through CSCs.

Sachin Tendulkar took to Twitter to express his condolences, he wrote, “Remember playing against Abdul Qadir, one of the best spinners of his times. My heartfelt condolences to his family. Vikram Lander is named after former ISRO Chairperson, Dr. Vikram A Sarabhai, the Father of the Indian Space Programme. Vikram Lander is designed to function for one lunar day, which is equal to around 14 Earth Days. Vikram Lander, which is carrying three scientific payloads to conduct surface and subsurface science experiments, is scheduled to begin its powered descent between 1-2am September 7, followed by touchdown between 1.30-2.30 am.

Investigation into crimes ‘prerogative’ of police, courts should not interfere: SC

The Supreme Court ruled on September 5, 2019 that investigation into crimes is a "prerogative" of the police and the courts should not interfere in its every stage. The top court said that a court’s interference at each stage would affect the normal course of the investigation. The ruling was delivered by an SC bench comprising Justices R Banumathi and A S Bopanna while denying anticipatory bail to former Union Minister P Chidambaram in the INX Media money laundering case. The top court said that the investigation agency should be the one deciding the course of the probe and the judiciary should be kept out of it, except in rare cases.

Chandrayaan 2 landing: Chandrayaan 2 will make its historic moon landing on Saturday early morning between 1.30 and 2.30 am. The last 15 minutes of 'Vikram' lander’s descent on to the Moon will be terrifying, according to ISRO Chairman K Sivan. Chandrayaan 2 is scheduled to begin its final descent on the lunar surface today. The Indian Space Research Organisation has described the last phase of descent as terrifying, as it would be a completely new area for ISRO. Chandrayaan’s successful landing will make India the fourth nation in the world to achieve a soft landing on Moon, after developed nations such as the United States, Russia and China. India will be, however, the first nation to land on the darker side of the moon, near its south pole.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has become the first Indian Prime Minister to visit Vladivostok, the far-east region of Russia. The Prime Minister landed in Vladivostok on September 4, as a part of his two-day visit to Russia from September 4-6, 2019. Environment Ministry releases Rs 47,436 crore for afforestation to various states

The Union Ministry of Environment has released Rs 47,436 crore of CAMPA funds to various states for afforestation projects. The transferred funds will not affect the state budget for forests, it will be an additional fund. The funds were handed over by Environment Minister Prakash Javadekar. The Environment Ministry has released the additional fund to the states to give a boost to forestry activities to achieve the objectives of the Nationally-Determined Contributions (NDCs) of increasing forest and tree cover. The increase in forest and tree cover will create an additional carbon sink equivalent to 2.5 to 3 billion tonnes of carbon dioxide by the year 2030.

RBI accepts Bimal Jalan Committee recommendations, approves Rs. 1.76 lakh crore to Govt

The surplus money includes a sum of Rs. 1,23,414 crore for the year 2018-19 and Rs. 52,637 crore of excess provisions identified as per the revised Economic Capital Framework (ECF) adopted at the meeting of the Central Board.
